Indica Sound son: Cañas! & Jahvy. (Miguel Cañete Suárez y Javier Montes Moreno).Miguel, original de Lucena (Córdoba) tiene formación de Conservatorio hasta 4º curso, tiene varios cursos de sonido digital y compatibiliza actualmente su carrera de Ingeniero Técnico de Telecomunicaciones especialidad en Sistemas Electrónicos con el desarrollo de su actividad musical como compositor y técnico. Javier, natural de Cabra (Córdoba) tras cursar su formación profesional como especialista en Maquinas Eléctricas en la rama de Electricidad-Electrónica, cursa un ciclo de grado superior de Realización de Audiovisuales y Espectáculos , y posteriormente realiza varios cursos de Audio Digital y Midi.

Indica Sound se formó en el año 2000 en Córdoba tras unos años de experiencia como instrumentistas, dj’s y como componentes de Asociaciones y promotoras. Su relación con el reggae les lleva a crear en el 2004 un programa de radio, llamado Indica Sound, en la emisora cordobesa Radio Lucena FM, ocupándose de la realización, grabación y producción. Indica Sound centra su actividad en dos bloques:

Indica Sound participa como soporte técnico y dj en numerosos eventos, y hemos podido disfrutar de sus actuaciones en ciudades como Madrid, Valencia, Málaga, Cádiz, Granada, Sevilla, Guadalajara, Vigo... acompañando a artistas como Morodo, Prince Mike, Leroy Onestone, Little Pepe, Chow Panachie, Dutchie Gold...etc. Sus actuaciones siempre dejan un buen sabor de boca a los espectadores de todas las edades y nacionalidades, que disfrutan de los cantantes y de la selección de mas de 2000 vinilos de roots, new roots y dancehall en formato 7” de las manos de Cañas! y Jahvy mezclados al más puro estilo jamaicano.

Son los responsables de las grabaciones de discos promocionales como Ras Boti, String Riddim, “Me no one dem”(Prince Mike), ”What a gwan”(Prince Mike), “Hold my Faiht”(Prince Mike)...

En Diciembre de 2005 editan “Pon a mission” de Jah Fabio feat. Leroy Onestone sobre el String Riddim en el disco de Jah Fabio "Different Session´s (Natty Congo Records NCR-007 México) y en mayo de 2006 Cañas! & Jahvy auto-editan su primer disco recopilatorio de producción propia, llamado REGGAE IS LIFE! y esta compuesto por 9 riddims diferentes sobre los que cantan artistas como de Ijah (Málaga), Leroy Onestone (Caribe), Morodo (Madrid), Little Pepe (Málaga, Prince Mike (Málaga)... Con un total de 19 canciones incluidas y además 4 instrumentales. Todo el disco es producción de Cañas! & Jahvy excepto “Hoy habrá Fight” de Ras Boti, “Babilón Stop” de Leroy Onestone y “Rockers revolution” de Pínnacle Rockers, cuyo riddim esta inspirado en el original “Revolution” Escrito por Dennis Emanuel Brown para VP Records en 1985. En Mayo de 2006 inauguran su portal web www.indicasound.net, en el que puedes disfrutar y encontrar toda serie de contenidos acerca de Indica Sound: descargas, noticias, agenda, fotos, encuestas....Cabe destacar que encontrareis anteriores producciones de Indica Sound, y también podréis descargar los discos de varios artistas, así como Mixtapes y Dubplates.

A los tres meses y medio de su creación ya habían pasado por este espacio mas de 70.000 personas de 34 países diferentes, se habían distribuido mas de 15.000 copias del recopilatorio Reggae is Life! y más de 7.000 ejemplares digitales del trabajo de Prince Mike “What a Gwan”, llegando a ser noticia en multitud medios de comunicación web y física por su atractiva difusión de nuevos artistas así como por su alternativa propuesta al actual modelo de la industria discográfica actual.
